After its debut last year, the Reader’s Digest describes its 100 Word Story Competition as a “huge hit” – and why wouldn’t it be, with $1000 and publication up for grabs.
Quite frankly, the dollar to word ratio is ridiculous. And entry is free, so it’s even better!
Stories must be exactly 100 words, with the criteria that “99-worders will be disqualified, hyphenated words count as one”. You can submit your story online through the Reader’s Digest webpage.
So if you can craft something short and special and want to have a crack at it, get your words copy/pasted into the submissions box before November 30 2013.
