2014 Commonwealth Short Story Prize

Just chillin’ in one of the many commonwealth countries, surrounded by stacks of stories and wondering where to send them? Wonder no longer.

The Commonwealth Short Story Prize, also known as the Living-In-The-Commonwealth-Sure-Has-Its-Perks Prize, is up and running for 2014.

Stories should be previously unpublished, 2000-5000 words, and can be in any genre or style. Submissions are made online in PDF format, and best part of all: there’s no entry fee.

The winnings range from £1,000 to £5,000 – a nice little addition to any bank balance.

Just click here for more submission details (and any info on basically anything else you would need to know).

This comp is like a streaker, running naked and free across a footy field (only with a lot more dignity, and it’s way more rewarding). To tackle this fleeting prize head on, get your submissions in before November 30 2013!

Unless you live outside the commonwealth bounds. To which I say, there’ll be another streaker along soon. Promise.
