Drue Heinz Literature Prize 2014

$15,000. Wowzers.

That’s what this prize is worth. Pretty impressive. And I bet it would look super nice right there in your bank account. And the bragging rights are damn good too.

Run by The University of Pittsburgh Press, the Drue Heinz Literature Prize is open worldwide to all fiction writers.

To be eligible to enter you have to have some publishing cred to your name. That means you either have to have had a fiction book published, or at best, had at least 3 stories published in literary journals. There’s a bunch of other options, so check the rules for the nitty gritty.

But once you’ve got that sorted, feel free to send in your previously unpublished stuff.

Check out the submission guidelines to see if this prize is the one for you. And hey, with $15,000 up for grabs, you don’t wanna pass this one up without having a quick click through.

If you’re up for it, get your submissions in by June 30 2013. Winners will be announced Dec/Jan (hence the 2014 title).

Good luck, and go get that gold!
