For the last few months the Australian Literature Review have been holding short story competitions, and this month is the last comp!
June’s theme is ‘Mystery/Detective’, and is being described by the Australian Literature Review as having a
strong mystery element with clear stakes for the characters, and this mystery could be pursued by an everyday character or a professional.
Entries should be 1000-3000 words and submitted through email. You can find more info on the submissions guidelines here.
This last comp closes at midnight on June 20 2013, so there’s still a few weeks to get your writing in to win a book prize pack courtesy of Simon & Schuster Australia and feedback on your writing from author Phillipa Fioretti. Shortlisted entries get published by the Australian Literature Review.
Not a bad haul!
