Been published in a few lit journals but not sure how to make that great leap into book publishing?
Hologram is a new project being run by Express Media (those guys who handle Voiceworks, oh how we love Voiceworks!) whose aim is to do just that: bring your manuscript into the world in a proper little novella.
If you’ve got a story between 20,000 and 60,000 words (any genre, they’re pretty flexible all round) then send that Word document!
Every published writer gets $1000 and their name in lights (well, print). Sounds too good to be true? Well, you do have to be under 30. And submissions close August 30 2013. Find out more here!
So if you’re young and spry, get writing, get editing, and get your work sent off to Hologram. It’s run by an experienced and well-known bunch (funded by The Australia Council for Arts, in fact), so your stories are in good hands. And the name is kind of awesome too.
